Scott is a 1993 graduate of the University of North Carolina at Wilmington with a B.S. in Business Finance, also competing all 4 years on the school’s golf team. After graduation, Scott enjoyed a 13 year career in the golf industry, serving as the PGA Head Professional at Kinston Country Club from 1998 until 2006.

Scott changed careers in 2006 when he joined W.A. Moore as a producer. During his first few years with our agency, he has been successful in serving all types of clients/accounts, from upscale personal lines to small & mid-size business to large contractors. Scott also co-manages the Worksite Life Insurance part of the agency. Scott was named a Principal in the firm in 2009. Scott has earned the AAI designation – Accredited Advisor in Insurance. He also serves the Independent Insurance Agents of NC association as a member of the Junior Golf Committee.

Scott is very involved in the Kinston-Lenoir County community, having served as VP of Business & Tourism for the Kinston-Lenoir County Chamber of Commerce, a member of the Board of Directors of the Lenoir Committee of 100, member of the Kinston Rotary Club, past Finance Chair of the Caswell District of East Carolina Council of the Boy Scouts, and as Chairman of the Administrative Board at Westminster United Methodist Church.
